Fred Taylor Music – 2009

Live at Cecil’s – Volume 1 is the first of two volumes recorded on January 23, 2009 at Cecil’s Jazz Club and Restaurant in West Orange, New Jersey. This assortment of swinging jazz tracks includes songs that range from covers of Cole Porter’s What is this thing called love and Milt Jackson’s Bags’ Groove, to original band tracks (most written by bandmate Bob Ackerman.)

The package consists of an audio CD and a bonus DVD of footage of each tune from the concert.  ‘Live at Cecil’s – Volume 1’ follows the very successful CD ‘Circling’ recorded by this group and released in September 2008.

The Fred Taylor Trio features veteran Seattle drummer/composer Fred Taylor, woodwind great Bob Ackerman, and premier bassist Rick Crane.

Volume 2 will be released later in 2009.
