Jeff Golub – Blues for You

With his reputation as a contemporary jazz guitarist firmly established, Jeff Golub takes a left turn onto blues lane with his new release Blues For You. On this release Golub maintains his jazz identity, while traveling to the realm of blues-rock with the likes of classic rock vocalists: Billy Squier (Everybody Wants You), Marc Cohn (I Don’t Worry About a Thing), John Waite (Lost Mind) and Peter Wolf (Rooster Blues.)

Smooth jazz trumpeter Rick Braun and trombonist Nick Lane come along for the ride, slipping right into the groove on tracks like the funky-jive Fish Fare and the soulful Gone Fishin. Golub`s playing is always fluid and smooth, complimenting his imaginative musical concepts and this CD is no exception.
