Cause and Effect is the third release in Tone Canters’ ‘power trio,’ serious-fusion series. Drummer/producer Steve Smith has assembled an excellent band that moves the organ trio format to high energy levels!

Guitarist Larry Coryell, leads the way with some of his best playing in years. Keyboardist Tom Coster best known for his work with Santana, Vital Information, and his own records, shows he’s again a force to be reckoned with on the Hammond B-3. Smith – the ex-Journey traps-man, session-man extraordinaire, and leader of Vital Information for the past 15 years, propels and inspires everyone to play beyond themselves.

Adding their grooves to some of the tunes are electric basemen Benny Rietveld – ex-Miles Davis sideman, currently with Santana – on three tracks; and the Flecktone’s bass hero Victor Wooten, on the track “These Are Odd Times.”
