{"id":3517,"date":"2014-01-01T22:21:10","date_gmt":"2014-01-01T22:21:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jazzusa.com\/n-touch-n-touch\/"},"modified":"2011-01-01T22:21:10","modified_gmt":"2011-01-01T22:21:10","slug":"n-touch-n-touch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jazzusa.com\/?p=3517","title":{"rendered":"N-Touch &#8211; N-Touch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/jazzusa.com\/storypix\/N-Touch.jpg\" alt=\"N-Touch\" align=\"right\"\/><b><font size=\"4\" style=\"font-face:verdana; font-size:14pt\" color=\"Blue\" face=\"Verdana, Helvetica\">N-Touch<br \/><\/font><font color=\"#0000FF\" face=\"Verdana\" size=\"3\" style=\"font-face:verdana; font-size:12pt\">N-Touch<\/font><\/b><br \/><font face=\"Verdana, Helvetica\" size=\"1\" style=\"font-face:verdana; font-size:8pt\">(Independent &#8211; 2002)<br \/> by Ricky Miller<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><font size=\"2\" style=\"font-face:verdana; font-size:10pt\" face=\"Verdana, Helvetica\" color=\"#000000\">The CD starts off with the self-entitled title track &#8220;N-Touch&#8221; and that sets the tone for the whole CD, very uptempo with the keyboards of <i>Matthew Minnieweather<\/i> showing influences of Jeff Lorber.  &#8220;Close To My Heart&#8221; changes it up, allowing <i>Eldon &#8220;T&#8221; Jones<\/i> a chance to show what he can do on sax. &#8220;Walk With Me&#8221; begins with the strum of <i>David Allen<\/i> on guitar, soon joined by Jones&#8217; sax groove on this jazzy strut. &#8220;Hasta Luego&#8221; is smoother and shows how talented these guys really are, this track is reminiscent of some early <i>Rippingtons<\/i> stuff.<\/p>\n<p>  &#8220;Rush Hour&#8221; is another track worthy of mention, carried by the strong bass lines of <i>Donovan Fairley<\/i> and <i>Anthony Jones<\/i> on drums this track is sweet and smooth. The remainder of the CD is equally entertaining, particularly &#8220;Sweet Potatoe Pie&#8221;,  and  &#8220;Galaxy&#8221;. On the whole the CD shows promise for this upstart group out of Portland, Oregon. The production is a little flat in places, but the talent shines through.
