The vocalist/pianist takes on the compositions of Mose Allison, Joni Mitchell, Tom Waits and a few written by her man… namely Elvis Costello, on what is perhaps one of her most satisfying recordings to date.

This CD is smart, has a very different appeal than her previous releases. Assisting with the music are bassist Christian McBride, drummers Terri Lynne Carrington and Peter Erskine and guitarist Anthony Hamilton.

Listen to Temptation using RealAudio.

Most notably, the CD features what is seemingly a more ardent Diana Krall on such great songs as “Temptation,” “I’m Coming Through,” and “Narrow Daylight.” Her voice is as smoky and sensuous as ever. For those into late night antics, you can still get that same love and feeling just by listening to that Girl In The Other Room!

In conjunction with her new release, Diana appeared last month on both the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn.
