This is a two-part offering released by Gambale’s Wombat Records and it rocks. Gambale rethinks the sound his innovative patented Nouveau Tuning Guitar can handle on such great songs as “Table For One” with its 3 Neauveau Vignettes. Gambale conceived all songs and arrangements and uses everything on the musical spectrum from warm tones and textures to a lot of visual harmonies on “Kaanapali” and blazing solos on “Table For One.”
The quality of this CD must be heard and will soon make an important impression in the future of jazz/rock fusion. Frank Gambale, who is undoubtedly one of the most innovative guitar Gods on the scene today, is still blazing trails for the novice awe-struck protégé but even the most seasoned fusion aficianados will appreciate what Frank Gambale is doing here and his raison d’être.
