End Of 1999 CD Project

If you’ve got a Jazz tune that you think is good enough for the big time, nows the time! JazzUSA is accepting material submissions for our End Of ’99 CD project. Once all the submissions have been evaluated, we’re going to select the best tracks, compile and release a CD in late End Of of 1999. If your song is chosen to be on the CD, your song credits, photo, biography and contact information will be included in the liner notes booklet. You will also receive five free copies of the CD and an option to buy more at a reduced cost. So…If you have a jazz tune that you think should be ‘on the air’, get it ready and send it in now! This could be your big break…
Requirements:
The material must be some form of jazz.
This is, after all, a jazz album.
Songs must be submitted on DAT, CD or ZIP Disk and be of studio quality.
If we use your track, we’re just going to levelize / equalize it with the rest of the tracks on the CD…nothing else, so it has to be good enough to go on a CD. Submissions sent in on ZIP Disks must be in WAV or MP3 format. Do not send in your only copy, submission media will not be returned!
You must send in a promotional picture, bio and contact information.
The CD booklet/insert will contain a photo, short bio and contact information for the composer/performer of each track so that if someone should hear the CD, like your track and want to contact you, they can.
How to Enter:
STEP 1: Complete the following submission information. You can either print this page from your browser and enter the information on the printout, or download the submission kit which contains this document as well as the Publishing agreement (Step 2) in a Microsoft© Word® Document (zipped).

STEP 2:
Complete and sign the A-Studio Music Limited Single Song Publishing Agreement. A-Studio Music is an affiliate of JazzUSA and will be the publisher of the CD. The agreement gives A-Studio Music the right to use your song on JazzUSA compilation CD’s only. You retain all other ownership, marketing and sales rights. This agreement can be viewed as a web page and printed, or downloaded as a Microsoft© Word® Document.

STEP 3:
Put the following items into a single package:
- The song itself, on a CD, DAT or ZIP disk.
- Your completed submission form (from step 1).
- Your completed, signed Limited Single Song Publishing Agreement (from step 2).
- A biography for the composer or performer of the song.
