Buddy Rich – The Lost Tapes – DVD

Arguably the greatest jazz drummer of all time, Buddy Rich’s last concert before he passed away (in 1987) has been captured here as a restored and rejuvinated video performance that critic Cathy Rich calls “a brilliant concert coupled with state-of-the-art technology.” 

Buddy Rich, The Lost Tapes is an historic restoration project… the producers recovered the masters from a fire in 1990 and restored the original surround sound track. This release follows the Emmy Award winning Channel One Suite and both concerts were recorded the same night.

Buddy Rich had a seven-decade career which included performances with Tommy Dorsey, Dizzy Gillespie, Louis Armstrong, and Gene Krupa, and appearances for three U.S. presidents and the Queen of England.
